With the price of gas, how much would it cost to drive to Europe?

This one too....had to look at it for a minute, but in 2003 Forest Sage was not availbe, nor were some of the exterior and interior features, so I'm thinkin this one is a fraud too and I reported it as well.....

I'm baffled...

HOW are these guys (or gals) stealing real people's Ebay identities? I've read through most of these posts, but am still baffled. Through fraudulent links asking for info? I find it hard to believe (but I guess it's true) that this many people are being suckered for info (identity theft) and being used.

I wouldn't want our ID stolen.... (of course, way back when, my wife's ID was stolen on AOL. AOL banned us for being "porn kings - distributing porn spam." While I had a good chuckle at this one, my wife wasn't so amused.)

At least you have an idea of why. My original yahoo id, same as I use here was shut down by Yahoo for "violating the rules". When I asked, they commented that they don't release that information. So I came up with a new one and my old one still sits in the bad boy corner forever without a flying idea as to why.

Yes it's true. It is called phishing. If you send out enough phoney letters you will get someone to bite the hook. Here is a recent example of the type of stuff they send out. http://www.antiphishing.org/phishing...8-05_eBay.html

I managed to get the high bid in, but then it disappeared. I'm a regular eBayer, and have run into this guy or many like him/her while searching for my "new" AS. Fortunately eBay has made it alot easier to report fraudulent listings, and they get yanked pretty quickly!

I frequently get phishing emails purporting to be from eBay or Paypal. They always have a link that appears to be real (to the general computer illiterate). They use one ruse or another to get you to click their links and then type in your user id and password. If you do, your account will instantly be hijacked.
Real emails from eBay will always be in your messages file on eBay - If you're ever unsure (some of them can spell and have good grammer, most don't) Check you message folder at eBay - if the message isn't there, don't bother opening it in your email.
I used to report them all to eBay, but it got to be a waste of my time.
