Craig's List scam - but whose Bambi is it?

Here is a recent scam posting on Craig's List - all the usual crap- stored on a military base, deploying overseas, free delivery, can't see it in person (of course).

"Thank you for your interest in my 1961 Airstream Bambi. Clear US title, sleeping capacity:4-5, 2,800 lbs dry weight. It is in good condition never smoked in, no pets, no damages, no leaks, tows like a dream. I have all the documents and papers in my name. At the moment I'm stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington, making final preparations before deploying to South Korea. The camper will be delivered from here. The Logistic Department will deliver the camper to your home. It is available for immediate delivery free of charge at your door, the shipping process takes 4-5 days but it all depends on your location. I'm looking for a quick sale, that's why the price has been reduced ($2,500) to avoid wasting time with negotiations and find a buyer before I will be deployed to South Korea.

You can find more photos here:

God Bless"

The question is, whose beautiful little trailer is it, really? Obviously, the pictures were ripped off from someone's photo stream on one of the public posting sites. I'm hoping someone will react to seeing this with "OMG - that's mine!"

I actually know this one...

It's Dan Piper's (Vintagecampers.com).

He actually has it for sale on ebay right now. Exact same photos.

Scammers!!! Post the link to the listing and we'll all try and flag it.

Wow. Wouldn't it be great to arrange a blanket and soap in a sock party to the perp?

Flag it. I did, so should everyone. Help protect newbies from scumbags. Although, anyone who'd send $2500 sight-unseen on a craigslist ad where the bulk of the copy in the ad is "fdjkl;saldkjfsda;ljkf" could perhaps use the lesson...

Pretty clever scam. Unless he wired the money he would be caught pretty quick. Most online payment systems have ways of tracking these scumbags down.

Not that clever. Military logistics offices never handle the sale and delivery of private property belonging to servicemen, so that's an automatic "this is a scam" flag. Logistics offices handle the purchase, movement, and sale/salvage of Government property. Period.

Is this listed by the same person that a few months ago threatened to sue Airforums and individual members over simular listings.
