Wow, a lot of great advice for such a general question. After some pricing research you will have some hard budget numbers to work with. If you add 20% to the total for wants and wishes, you will have a working budget.

I hope it's ok to revive this old thread to say all this info is exactly what I'm looking for. I'm in Australia, and will need to have all the remodeling done in the US, on whatever vintage Airstream I settle on. Nobody that I would get to do the work here has ever even seen an Airstream. I'm working with a budget, and have certain fixed costs: shipping and compliance modifications. Now I can work out a renovation budget, and know better what I can spend to buy the trailer. It's bass ackwards, I know, but that's the only way it will work for me. So thanks again!
