$37k for a 2005 International 28 - good price?

I'm in the market for a used AS around 25' and I came across a 2005 International 28-footer on a AS dealer lot for $37,000. It appeared to be in good shape to me, inside and outside with no glaring ding or water damage or bad wear and tear. The gasket on the refrigerator door, a new foam gasket on the entrance door, corrosion on the fantastic fan and vent cover levers, and that's about it. I haven't run everything but that's for later if I get close to pulling the trigger. I'm a noob and this could be my first trailer - does this sound like a good price? I would appreciate any input. Thank you!

I don't know about prices. If you go look at it again have the dealer hook everything up and show you that it works (and how it works). Ask if the dealer is willing to offer a warranty of any kind. Ask if the trailer has spongy floor anyplace that might indicate a leak. Read the forums here as much as possible and see if any problems were specific to that year and model.
Good Luck!!!

Get a Sonin moisture meter and probe around the inside where the walls meet the floor in the rear bedroom. Some owners have reported water leaks between the rear rub rail over the bumper.

Check the age of the tires too. If they are more than 3 years old you may want to replace them. I'd have the wheels pulled and the brake linings and bearings checked

I personally think the price is a little high. If it was perfect with solar panels, inverter, LED upgrade and other upgrades and included a Hensley or Propride it may be worth the extra money.

See if there is anyone in your area that is on this forum's Airstream inspectors list that can help you check it out.

I went through this in 2013 and despite a clean trailer with little use there were issues that had to be attended to during the subsequent weekend outings that didn't show up in the presale inspections.

I'll tell you I just paid that for a 27ft 2007 private seller. So considering dealer mark up....
