The major differences between the trailers are:
Argosy-rear bath-takes up more room than center bath
Airstream-most likely center bath
Argosy-plywood flooring-better than chipboard flooring
Airstream-Chipboard flooring
Argosy-fake wood cabinets
Airstream-Oak cabinets
Argosy-weighs less than the Airstream
Argosy-no grey tanks
Airstream-probably a 35 gallon grey tank/20 or so gallon black tank
Airstream-more than double the price of the Argosy & far, far away.......
Argosy-able to be painted--never needs polishing or clear coat
Airstream-able to be polished or clear coated--your choice
Argosy-old, old axles
Airstream-pretty old axles, but probably good
So, what to do? Well, I'd probably get the Argosy if I wanted to go camping right now & keep my eyes peeled for an Airstream closer to home. The 25 ft. AS is a nice model, no doubt. But that Argosy looks nice too. Ultimately, it's your choice. These are just a few of the things that makes them different (other than being 16 years apart in age of course!) If you go for the one in Detroit, you can always stay in my driveway for the night--we're right on the way!
