Talking Winter Thoughts

I don't know how your fall/winter is starting, but here in the Black Hills we are off and running.

We just had a bilzzard that shut down I90 for two days! So, after a long day of shoveling and snow blowing ones thoughts naturally turn to dreaming of warmer climes.

Check out this campground for sale in Belize. It comes with 3 campers, an Avion and two Airstreams. What could be better? Maybe my 83 Sovereign parked in one of the spots. Ahh...I can just see it.

From here in Missouri, we watched the news reports of your developing snow storm, amazed that snow was drifting four to six feet deep. I pictured cattle with backs to the wind, blocking the snow as best they could...and then I imagined those summer getaways (AKA our airstreams) buried...and it was the first storm of the year! Best wishes! ~G

Hey, if you WANT snow and a campground, you can take this one! It started snowing last night here and hasn't stopped yet. I just shudder to think that this is just the beginning of it.

Here's a shot from a previous year ...

Pass on that offer. i'd prefer not having to shovel my precipitation.

I like to wait until it starts snowing and then plug in the Airstream, make some popcorn, fire up the furnace and crank up the TV. Wrap up in a blanket and fall asleep for the night all snug and warm while the flakes fall outside. We may not be able to go many places in the winter but I still use Aunt Bee whenever possible.

Snow issues

Please don't show us these snow pictures. We are picking up our AS in Colorado next month and pulling it back to TN. We're pretending that the snow will hold off until January.

We're heading up your direction on Saturday for a week or two of pheasant hunting and hope the highway is cleaned up east of the mighty Missouri River by then. No Airstream in tow this trip thank goodness!

I can't imagine there being a huge call for RV parks in Belize. The three trailers that come with it may be the only ones you see.
