Swapping AS internationally or at home?

Has anyone ever arranged to swap their airstream with another AS owner far away? Lets say I want to go to the UK and am willing to swap my Aistream in Ontario for use of their Airstream set-up for a couple weeks. Or anywhere for that matter, Russia, USA, Canada Europe, Africa. the Americas. It would be nice to fly abroad and then tavel in a familar airstream camping around a new enviroment. Even east coast to West or USA to Canada, Cheaper too!
Chime in with your thoughts, maybe i'm on to something here??

Just like some people do with their homes. I have a friend that spent two weeks in Paris while the owner of the lovely apartment he stayed in there, live in his home in Toronto.

Could work! Lots of issues, of course: insurance, driver's licensing, rules of the road, to name the first ones that pop into my head. But it could work...

Michael Hold of Airstream Europe is trying to set up exactly this sort of thing. He calls it (interestingly) "Silver Swingers". It might be worth dropping him a line.

Rock musician Lenny Kravitz has an Airstream on a secluded oceanfront lot in the Bahamas. We have access to a beautiful lakefront campsite in a northern Canadian forest.

I'd love to hear from Lenny about a swap, but somehow I just don't think it will happen.

We will be taking our Airstream to Costa Rica this fall permanently, not to live in but to use for vacations. My wife wants to go to Germany some day, maye we can find someone through A/S Europes idea and do a swap, I would also like to go to Russia and travel.
