Speaking of food!

Good day Perry- I'm sure you've had this, but think about it for a quick fix for hungry campers. When I was there last, a friend served the most incredible dish, and when I asked him what the recipe was, he handed me a can- Cassoulet au Confit de Canard (duck) and said he got it at LIDLS- you know the place I'm sure, it's a store from Allemagne that has locations all over Europe. Anyway, I went and bought 2 cases- at €1.50 for 850 grams, it feeds 2 hungry adults, and is ready in the micro in 2 minutes! The stuff is like instant gourmet meal for pennies. I lived on it while traveling there, even brought 6 cans home!

Makes me want to clear my schedule and come over just thinking about it!

Cheers! Peter.

Airstream Rally in Europe

Hello Perry,

Yes, I received your invite to the Airstream meeting this summer, but you didn’t say what the dates are!

I think at this time Mary and I will not be able to make it for two reasons. My diary for 2006 is becoming reasonably full. Work is getting silly, summer is supposed to be my quiet time but as yet it is still a bit manic! Plus we must go to Ireland to see the old folks this year.

You may also have seen my other postings in the motor homes sections that we are having a ‘little bother’ with fuel. Petrol seems to go in one end and out the other without stopping! So until that is resolved long journeys are restricted.

I am hoping I am on the right track with the carburetor, and fixed the Permanent Choke syndrome (Not the other PC) . My next trip to London will reveal that. I have a weeks work there and will use the 310 as a base on a site near the Thames, 5 minute walk from the rail station.

As yet I still find that there are only a few Airstreams in the UK and far less Motor Homes two of which are in the south. I have met one and spoke to the other, but that’s as far as it has been.

If we can make the European get together we will, perhaps you can post details here or have you already done so and I missed it?

PS if any ones out there we are going to the “south will rise again” C&W “Do” at Poole in July.

Kindest Regards
Mary & Chuck Berry
