Airstream Farm Cape Town - B&B?

Old Mac Daddy

Really neat idea; a "B&B" with airstreams instead of rooms. If this was in the states, would you go out of your way to stay here? Do you think your friends/ family (who might not be as big of airstream buffs as we are) would go here?

The thing of it is - from a business standpoint - it is (or needs to become) its own destination / attraction. its not like a regular hotel you stay in while visiting XXX location for whatever other reasons.

And its not a campground / park for you to bring your own trailer.

so what, in your opinion, is the viability of this type of concept?

Check out Del Ray Vintage Campers B&B in Brisbee AZ. You might want to ask them how it's worked out, I know they've been in business for many years.

I am considering the same idea in Costa Rica. You would want to be sure transportation fees and import taxes would not make it excesively expensive before starting such an endevor, depends on the country I guess. In the case of CR, where I am going, the fees can amount to 100% of your trailer purchase price.

Are you thinking of the Shady Dell RV Park in Bisbee, AZ?

Welcome to the Shady Dell!

We stayed there a couple of years ago and it was great. It's an RV park, so you can stay in your own trailer or one of theirs. When we were there it was 100% booked up, so I gather they do pretty well with it.
