Unless the 2014 Sony is different than the 2013 system, I can't understand what your reasoning is for the upgrade; the system is pretty feature rich and the sound is not that bad. Perhaps an audiophile would "tut, tut", but the sound (and features) that come out of mine is good enough for the campsite.

Have you really explored the system?

You could put any automotive radio you want in your AS, but they all sound pretty much the same. I changed from the stock Sony to a JBL in mine only because I wanted a Sirius radio and only an XM module was made for my old Sony. There is no difference in the sound.
My Sony speakers sound o.k. but I am hearing impaired, The Alpine speakers in my boat sound better and would fit in place of the stock Sonys. To get a big upgrade in performance you need not only more powerful speakers but an amp and a sub woofer. There is room in my radio compartment for an amp and a place for the sub woofer. The major stumbling block is rewiring heavier speaker wires. Taking down the headliner seems like a very difficult job for a do it yourselfer.
Wireless speakers have promise. Wait a few years and you will have a bigger selection of those and the price will come down.

It has Bluetooth! At least mine does on my 2014 International. Also a tray to plug your IPod, IPhone directly inside. There is no CD player.

You must have purchased before the merger. My XM receivers worked with SiriusXM after the merger.

Thanks, I did not find it too intuitive! For instance trying to get the TV to play over the speakers vs just the TV, Trying to get the Pandora feature to play when I have wifi in the trailer. I was looking for a unit that was more easy to set up and change functions. Maybe it is just me?

None of them are very intuitive or user friendly.
To switch my television or Blu-ray player to the speakers in the trailer I have to select CD2. I would have never known that without Airforums. The bluetooth works great for phone conversations and iPod.

Getting to the fader to select bedroom or living room speakers is also a rigamarole or hassle.

Resurrecting this thread.

I see the new ones have a system from J&L. Wonder how they are?

My 06 19 Bambi has a selector in the overhead cabinet for interior or exterior. Wonder where the exterior speakers would have been?
