Airstream Mud Flaps

Our dump valves are right behind the Airstreams wheels and catch all kinds of trash, mud and crud. Has any one installed some mud flaps on their trailer and are any available for purchase. I have seen some home made ones on a 28 ft classic, and they looked really good and seem to work. Any help out there ??

I have them for the very same reason as you ask. I just got some appropriate auto flaps and screwed them to the outrigger at the rear of the wheel well.

mud flaps work

We made mudflaps by cutting down some truck size units. Made cardboard patterns until the shape worked. They really do the job keeping the rest areas clean.

Also... A spritz of silicone on the waste handling area helps for cleaning...

When you mount the flaps, try to use some rust preventative in the area... Trapped debris holds a lot of water..
