All the '64 parts I am looking for are the parts missing from this one...including the shell and rear hatch door!

The highlighted part of the description and this picture are what keep me guessing...why??? The "seal" at that back hatch (aluminum over plywood?) can't be weatherproof...

1964 Airstream Custom, 24', with rear deck/travel storage. Rear of trailer has folding hatch with screen. All 110v outlets and lights work. Has awning. Fridge works well. Needs small amount of plumbing work for kitchen sink. Propane stove. Interior remodeled. New floor. New stain. Sleeps 4. No bathroom, it is now a back deck. Very unique camper. Great for couple or small family. Ready for camping. More Pics upon request. Needs some love. Comes with Reese tow hitch and anti-sway bars. Solid camper.
I can't understand why someone would forgo a bathroom for a storage deck/patio - the only thing I can think of is to haul "toys" of some sort...

How is it that I am the first to chime in with the fact that this is NOT a '64 Airstream. '64 still had the door in the door and the tear drop running lights. Also, '64 did not have that style of window forward of the door.... looks to me like someone chopped up a '65 TradeWind.

Hmmm, you're right...good observation! I think we were all so aghast with the rear that we didn't even notice the door...I know I didn't!

Good eye Todd! I too was fixated on the rear end.(a habit that serves me well, usually) I almost always catch the door-in-a-door thing, too. Dang!

Keep well!

First thought after looking at this piece of work---how would it handle on the road? A good bit of the rear weight has been removed throwing the whole thing out of any balance. Also, the blunt rear end must change the air flow for the worse over a normal AS rear end. Can't imagine it would be stable at highway speed.
Plus, if that plywood hatch at the rear opened during travel would it suck out the contents of the trailer?
