1964 Overlander Remodel

The Remodel of this trailer turned out to be a much bigger project than anticipated. Here are some pics of the progress. We installed a new black tank, toilet, hot water heater, all new pex through out, new fridge, and replaced the carpet. Painted the tub and sink with the Tub n Sink Tile from Homax. We are looking forward to taking her out.

Nice work. I think they all turn into much bigger projects than anticipated, I know mine did. That said, I had a wonderful weekend in the Trade Wind. When I got home yesterday and was cleaning it up I had the thought "all the hard work was really worth it". Seeing your pics, I had to comment.

All the best!

It is looking excellent. Congratulations!

We also have a '64 Overlander that we haven't started rehabbing yet, so I am very interested in what you have done. Thanks a lot for posting your progress and the pics--keep it up, please! Ours has a different layout: stove is immediately to the left of entering the doorway with sink to its right. There is a narrow lower cupboard that sticks out into the hallway between the door and the stove. (Not describing this well! ) Ours is a CA build.

That looks like a new toilet--what did you have to do to fit it into the hole and plumbing for the old one?

And what did you use to refinish your ABS plastic tub, lav-counter, and toilet surround?

Thanks, I'm taking notes!

Sorry, missed that you used Tub n Tile from Homax.

What is that? Never heard of it; is it easy to use? How did the finish turn out?

Thanks!

Those black tanks aren't cheap! I had to replace mine, the only option I could find was an exact repro from inland rv(about $600 w/ shipping)! Your trade wind is looking great ! Keep the pics coming.
