towing from tn to la... one time only, cheap

I'm driving a 94 gmc 2500 diesel from Nashville Tn to Palmdale Ca, to pick up a 74 31' airstream. I would like to cut the fuel cost of this trip, and driving this truck empty, one way, would be a crime. I will also have a empty truck-bed, both ways.

I'm not "commercially" insured and I'm not trying to charge for my hours.
