shipping

Hi I shipped from Galveston with Elite Shipping do not use this company big mistake. My A/S did not go straight to England it went via Zebrugge where it was left for five days it was ransacked and the engine was terminally damaged. So be sure that when you take it to the docks it goes straight to a port in England. They use very large ships to cross the Atlantic then break the cargo down in Zebrugge Belgium to ship to various countries around Europe, in smaller ships this is where the damage is likely to happen I would also advise insurance as there is no come back with the shipping line.If you are importing into England there is a 10% tax on shipping and the A/S plus 17% V.A.T.making a massive 27% total on all your costs. Most important get write ups of the various shipping companies. I did'nt and am still paying the price. There are web sites that have customers results .Try try typing shipping to the U.K.Be lucky

If your trailer is over 26' long then it's considered a static or mobile home and the import duty is considerably less. Only about 2.5% of CIF(COST + INSURANCE = FREIGHT).
