Need To Move One

Hello,
I need to move a 31 from Albuquerque NM to the Green Bay WI area. I have a number of bids from brokers and one I have found is AAA Motor Transport. Has anyone had dealings with them? I can't find them in the DOT data base ( red flag) but that is not all that unusual for a company that will broker the load to an independent.

Also if you have a suggestion on a good transporter would you let me know?

thanks
Ed

Hi Ed,
How would you like this unit shipped?
If towable, is it hook up ready?
Thanks,
RJ Dominic

It has newer axles (5 years old) and will have new tires, the ones on it are 9 years old and will be replaced. Should be road ready.
Thanks
Ed

Good Morning Ed,
One national transport service I recommend is Synergy RV Transport. I do their oversized unit transports to the northeast US their DOT is 2208153, and yes that is very important but as you said prior many independent companies are blanketed by these big companies for their DOT numbers, transporter plates, bonding, and insurances. These folks used to do mine.
Call them at 574-537-1860, option 0, ask for Jeremy and tell him I referred you.. NM is way out side my geographic area... I can handle Texas up and east...
If you need more info let me know.
RJ Dominic

Ed,
If you haven't found any one you might check with the folks I used to haul for

RV Transport 800 575 3386.
At least I know they have a DOT number and insurance

Synergy RV Transport

All,
I wanted to give Synergy RV Transport a little "plug" here. I had them move the trailer from NM to WI and they did a great job. The office staff was very helpful (Jeremy and Judy), responded quickly to my request and picked up and delivered on schedule. They were very professional.

The delivery driver was a great guy, very professional and offered great customer service. (and those of you that know what I do for a living... I am very picky about calling someone a professional driver)

I will say they were not the cheapest but I got what I paid for, a safe delivery that was one time handled by professionals.

RJ, thanks for the referral.

If you are looking for a transporter these people did a great job.
Ed

Thanks Ed,
That's why I contract loads with them and haul their loads when needed.
They alone keep me really busy doing all of their 'custom' work...
Best,
RJ

Best,

RJ, is Synergy licensed to run in all the lower 48? We do have customers that occasionally want their trailers moved, and I try not to tow our customers' trailers more than about a 250 mile radius.

Yes they are, continental US, and Canada, import and export. I do their east coat 'porting' if the need arises thru NJ or MD.
Please understand they are a hook up and go service. Much different than what I do. They don't check bearings, change old tires for temp transporter tires and so on. The unit must be road worthy with all safety equipment functional.
