Any experience of Brunswick to UK export?

I have been quoted to export my new trailer from Brunswick to Southampton, does anyone have any experience of this route and Brunswick port in general? Last one came from Newark and they were a nightmare!

Grateful for any experiences shared!

thanks

Its worse-

Better buy insurance, and be ready to make a claim. We ship lots of big trucks and tractors- never use Brunswick. Its worse the Baltimore or Jersey.

We pay off the dock supervisor, its the best way to get loaded by someone other than a day laborer who gets hired to do something they never did before. When the ships load, they take anyone available to drive as fast as they can and load up. Its a sight to be seen- like insane valet parkers on the loose with 1000's of new and used cars, trucks, and tractors.

You need someone on this side- you're taking a huge chance by sending these blindly through a freight forwarder. I've seen cars and boats stripped in the ports- then they get stranded and left for auction- or just go missing. Its crazy.

Wow, that sure is scary! Obviously I have insurance but I don't want an Airstream stripped and ruined, even if I do get my money back. I will check with the shippers how often they use Brunswick and if they don't have good experiences I will ask them to quote from another port. Thanks very much for the heads up, much appreciated. At the moment it is still in CA waiting to be picked up so I still have time to change the route,

cheers from the UK!
