Arizona regs/license??

We bought our airstream January this year.... tags expired bac in 1999, and we got a trip permit for the road trip down here to arizona, but we would like to keep the license plates in AZ.... does anyone know how to go about this if we are WA State residents?

Have you looked on ServiceArizona.com? One Gov service that actually works well, they are fast also.

I'm not sure you can keep AZ plates if your residence is in another state. Your state of residence is going to want the registration and licensing revenue.

If it were me, I would just register the trailer where I wanted to. (it will be easier if you are still in AZ)

My parents trailer was licensed in FL and their residence was in NC. Though, they did not insure it on their auto insurance policy so that the connection could be made that way.

If you keep it at home and your home state finds out, and they object, you can deal with that at a later time. Odds are they would never know.

If you want to keep it legal, you've got to register it in your domicile state. Either that, or form a corporation in Arizona (maybe call it Air-izona?) and sell the Airstream to the corporation so that it's a corporate asset.

Forming a private corporation for yacht ownership is relatively common, not so much for trailers, but I think it could be done.
