Haulage companies across america

I am looking at trying to get a trailer moved from Arizona to Brunswick I think in California.
Does anyone know of a haulage company who would tow a trailer?

Can anyone help. Moving a trailer

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this but I am looking for a company that would transport an airstream from Arizona to Brunswick which I think is in Florida or quite near.
Can anyone help?

Brunswick is in Ga. You should put the length and year in your request. Wallenius is probably your intended shipping line, and they eat Airstreams, as I've seen. You also have to be careful about having someone tow it- if its older and on it own wheels, you can be asking for trouble. A guy with an F350 will pull it at 80MPH and absolutely destroy it, not to mention the problems when they have a blowout at those speeds. Are the bearings OK? Tires and brakes? They work on time, drive fast, and don't care what happens. Make sure to get a flat bed, and change lines- Wallenius is horrible and you'll never collect insurance from them. Good luck!

Go to Google and type in RV transport, or RV hauling and you will get many sites for campanies that haul RVs. I have seen several Airstreams being hauled thru Oklahoma by a company I think is called RV Transport. The units were new, so I'm not certain if they would haul a vintage. First of all you need to find out just which Brunswick you want this trailer taken to. There are probably several towns by that name in America. So far you listed California and Florida, which are at opposite end of this country. Your hauler will need more specific instructions to give you a quote. Hope you get what you need.

Brunswick is in Georgia, it is a port city. A place where Aluminum leaves the new world and goes to the old world.

trailer transport

Contact a guy named Todd Coleman - he is an airstream resto master in hi sown quiet way. he's been working on my '31' 1969 for a year now and is joining me on it's maiden road trip for a few days out to ski country. He might consider bringing it back for you (BTW I live in ATL). His email is <toddcoleman1@yahoo.com>. We're leaving here Dec 01 - so not sure if that fits your time frame, but it would be in good hands.

Sorry, I was getting confused, kids distracting me. Let me try and be a bit clearer. I need to get it from casa grande in Arizona to Brunswick Giorgia.
Yes I am looking into shipping it to the UK.
I havent committed on this airstream yet so would consider others.
Thats a very good point about putting on a flatbed rather than having it towed.

Last time I used wallenius and I didnt find them a problem and they were very helpful at southampton. It is always good to get a second quote though. Where does urship go from?

nunya001 thanks for the offer, like I say I havent yet comitted to this trailer yet, just working out the logistics. If I do december wouldnt be too long to wait. I will definately consider it. Thanks

transport to shipping point

Hi,
Try this:
Restoration Topics - Transport

I'd also check out shipping from Galveston, (Houston) Texas.

Thanks for the leads. I couldn't get the link from Melody Ranch to work but could be my browser.

I'm doing some basic restoration and then planning to move from my lake property to my land in Mississippi and get a smaller replacement for the lake that I can easily take camping. My husband and I just don't need the 31 feet for weekend jaunts.

Thanks again!

Talking Wade Transport can handle your needs....

Wade Transport......here in Florida....I trust them.... i just used this tranport company to move a 1989 30 foot from New Jersey to Orlando
Wade Transport....770-519-7070 .....(Rocky and Jodi Wade)

a large 3500 series dually, exceptional service and communications from start to end....phone calls....emails....pictures before and after....they greased bearings...greased axels...went to the tire store and put new tires on....all this extra and no increase in cost....NJ to FL 1060 miles cost 975.00...total...plus tires of course....this couple currently has over 70 feedbacks from satisfied customers....all positive....this may save you money and add a piece of mind to your moves...read their feedbacks...they move trailers all the time....several airstreams in feedbacks as well...

(i have no connections with this couple....only that i am extremly happy with the service they provided to me in moving my airstream over 1000 miles...and i hope that they may be able to help others out as they have me....)

i found this couple on USHIP.com....this sites finds haulers for everything from dogs to yachts...currently several airstreams moves are listed...

here is someone else from your side of the pond that used Wade Transport as well

++++++++++++++++

Rocky Wade Highly recommended for AS transport !

.

You were right !

Rocky was avalible, reasonable priced and flexible !
The ship it should be on was overbooked, the AS could only be in the port for 7 days before departure, and he arranged the transport 7 days before the new date, and was overall was very helpfull.
If I ever need something towed again, i will surely call him first.

I will post pictures when my new 1986 Excella arrives in Europe.
Thank you all for your advice !

Axel & Annieta
