Parlor Trick to triple the space of the bathroom in a Safari 25

I did something simple to enlarge my bathroom to nearly quadruple the space; however, to be accurate on floorspace and not count the shower, I say triple. I have a center bath Safari 25. I borrowed the idea from the current model 30' that utilizes the hall space for the bathroom.

I bought a shower curtain to attach to hooks when in the bath. Basically the 25 has only one privacy partition at the bedroom. Adding the shower curtain to the hall creates a small area at the door of the bath without requiring the door be closed, opening up the bath per se - inexpensive and yet solved the issue of small bath and privacy for me.

I searched but could NOT find the thread. I saw an interesting thing done to a 25 or 27 FB - Ocean Breeze decor. The owner felt that using the sink or toilet with the door closed was anatomically challenging for anyone over 12 years of age, so he removed the door, and about a foot of the wall. The portion of the side wall next to the toilet was left alone since the vent stack is concealed in there. The two folding doors that separated the bath from the bedroom and the kitchen were used regularly when needed to assure privacy. They got fabric that matched the Ocean Breeze curtains and made a simple pull-back curtain where the door and wall had been too.

Your idea is very simple but equally effective. I compliment you on doing a quick fix "test of concept". I note that in my 25 FB swinging the bath door open toward the living area leaves it only about 2 inches too narrow to become a privacy door - but hey I live alone so unless I have company - duh?! In my configuration and living space It just doesn't make sense to do anything else, but I COULD take the door off and remove the hinge, then use something like a swing out towel rack and hang a curtain on it - turning it out when using the bath and folding back like the door it replaced when I have company. I even saw something in Ikea that would work, and give you three more rods for towels:

Each arm is only 18.5 inches long, but sliding a 3/4" piece of PVC pipe over the top rung would allow you to make it wide enough for the hall.

Our 25 RB has factory screens for the hall both sides of the bath and shower, so nice big space. However with just the two of us, we are more likely to just open the bath door (which I reversed so it opens toward the bedroom) and closet door opposite the hall, and that allows plenty of privacy. Also makes the closet and bath doors both open so is a convenient large space for toilet, shower, bath sink, and dressing. The bedroom closet and drawers are also at hand.

Yes, in later models with the shower on the opposite side of the commode and sink the problem may not exist. I mostly travel alone too but find myself leaving the door open as the bathroom is scary small with the door closed. Last summer I had an experience with a gawky woman looking in the windows right when I was coming out of the shower. I decided to come up with something. I thought about reversing the door too but the clearance at the fridge was a problem.

In our 28' Ocean Breeze, the bathroom door swings forward and fits perfectly against the long and narrow "door" that is used to cover the forward privacy screen when not in use. I've been thinking about installing a door strike there, which would remove the need for the forward screen.

The bathroom door latch would be backwards--that is, the fully extended side would hit the strike instead of the graduated side designed to push back and then release. But this is easy to get around by keeping the door handle depressed until the latch is over the strike.

Has anyone ever tried this? My only concern is that if we are parked on uneven ground, the strike and latch might be out of alignment.

That is hilarious romeb! Now in my case I like the particular trailer setup for my pet as I keep the litterbox in the shower.
