Flat panel TV mount
I did not get the TV wall mount in the living area of my Safari FB SE and wished I had. Has anyone installed one after the fact? My concern is the refrig on the other side.

Hi foboco
We're practically neighbors...on the other side of the Richmond Bridge.
There are many threads on this forum about tv wall mounts.
Some members say you need a special back plate to spread the weight. Like the one Airstream sells.......
I installed a costco tv mount on our bedroom wall (behind it is the shower)
I screwed 3/4" number 10 or 12 (same size but shorter than the ones that came with the mount) right into the plywood wall.
We've driven on some really bumpy roads and the screws are as tight as when I first installed them.
Good luck!
Dennis

I don't have the FB but did install on the wall that backs to the refrigerator in my 05 Safari, and it was not a big problem.
The refrig pulls out easily with a couple screws top and bottom (after removing doors, as i recall), and I left it in the aisle balanced on a box. (You have to unplug first from the outside access space - both AC and DC - and disconnect the gas line.)
I backed with a piece of plywood, glued and screwed, thick enough to fill the available space - I think 5/8ths. Bolted through from the front and used lock-tite on the refrig side.
So far so good. Goodluck!

What I did was take a piece of 1" x 6" and make a mount for the flat screen mount (stained it Walnut color). This would distribute the weight of the TV and then I took screws and measured enough where they would go through the wall but not hit the refrigerator. I drilled the screws in the mount and looked at the other side to see how much room I had to play with. I guessed, but I think it was a good guess. You can get a glimpse of the wood mount I made.

I installed my Flat panel on the fridge wall. You just need to ensure that you use slightly shorter screws than the ones that come in the package. I actually opened the external vent door to the fridge, and saw about an inch of space between the wall and where the fridge wall actually starts.

No screws in the shower (I'm being literal here..)
Dennis - so no problem piercing the shower wall?
That's my concern with this mount...
