Awning?

Can someone tell me the dimensions of the main awning on the newer Safari SE's? Thanks.

They vary according to the size of the unit

They usually are about 6-feet shorter than the body of the trailer. This takes into account the radius/segmented end caps...the awning only goes on the straight panel portion. Also, keep in mind, the advertised size of an Airstream trailer is measured tongue to tail, not the body. And some years/models/lines they sometimes round up and sometimes round down.

If someone has the same model as you are inquiring about they should be able to tell you with more acuracy.

There seems to be a consistent measurement scheme in play based on the total length of your trailer. I'm sure that the designers at Airstream had a lot to do with it. Example, if you have a 27' Safari, your patio awning is usually 16'11 1/4" as the folks at Zip-Dee put it.

After ordering lots of awnings for Airstreams lately, the rule seems to be trailer length-10' 3/4" = patio awning length.

Lew has rapidly become an excellent source of hands-on information. Thank you Lew!

It's Thursday and I love my Airstream because it's in my driveway being readied for a weekend. Specs say my '06 Safari is 25'11" long. The actual fabric part of the awning is about 16'2". End caps appear to be close to 38" each. A-frame is approx 3' plus a little -- doesn't add exactly to shell length due to some shell overhang above the back of the A-frame.

Width? Ask me after the weekend...
