Up and Running!

"The Keg" is up and running and operational! (for the most part, hehe) finally on the maiden voyage (for me the new owner at least). Had one hell of an experience getting here. about 290 miles to destination, and after getting some "new shoes" for her, we were well on our way. Had a nasty blow out on the front left tire about 30 miles from the house . luckily we were still close to civilization and were able to replace the old tires (which to my unhappy discovery were severely dry-rotted on the inner side of the wheel). But all things happen for a reason, so conveinently we missed rush hour in atlanta! The rest of the trip went by calmly and quietly! So with all that said, for those of you buying new trailers...take it from a newbie, like you may be, and thoroughly check the inner and outer walls of the ALL the tires! regardless of what the PO might say about them! Happy and safe travels to all out there!

Glad to hear all worked out in the end. We also ran into some issues in the first hundred or so miles of our maiden voyage. Guess what...yep, the tires. We had to get the inner walls sealed. One was flat and the other had a nail in it! Like you said though, everything happens for a reason and we (mostly) missed Chicago rush hour (although from what I hear it's always rush hour in Chicago).

Thanks for your post! It's a good reminder to be safe and be on top of checking tire pressure frequently on the road before it becomes a big problem. A lot can change in a 100 miles!

Happy travels to everyone!
