"View First Unread" which showed up at some point, but I have no idea when, is a great idea, but when the thread goes to a new page, it only takes me back to the first unread on that page and not the previous one.
I can tell that one of 2 ways: remember the last post and see if the one I'm looking at makes sense, a not very reliable tactic, or always check the previous page, which defeats the purpose.
Thanks for adding Thanks to this user. May you be lucky enough to receive the same Thanks back in turn.
Even here in the South that statement is soppy.
There is another thread at present about karma, and although I did not scrutinize every word, I don't recall "luck" being mentioned.
I would rather just hit 'send karma' and move on without a message.
The keywords remind me of a tale I could share of my early days as a newly married man. The Cliff's Notes would sum the tale up chronologically as "Thanks ... Lucky ... No response".
Tom, The "thanks" and "karma" are interchangable, you can do the same as before except now it is politically correct to call it "thanks". There were some out there with bad karma who felt it was wrong to use the term karma and it had to be changed. Change is good cause change brings about something else... oh, who am I fooling with that patronizing bull? I liked it the old way too.
Starting to look like a giant ad page and - oh wait - there's a forum page here in the middle too....
Unfortunately, the portal page is getting more packed and cluttered, and the new sidebar ad can't be blocked in /etc/hosts because it's coming from the same server as the forum:
Code:
www.airforums.com
I've started using the New Posts page instead of the portal. Make a shortcut with an address of:
There and elsewhere you can still block the AirstreamClassifieds page peel:
127.0.0.1 www.airstreamclassifieds.com
and the Google ads:
127.0.0.1 pagead2.googlesyndication.com
127.0.0.1 www.google-analytics.com
127.0.0.1 partner.googleadservices.com
and the Social Knowledge ads:
127.0.0.1 connect.socialknowledge.com
and the tracking of your activity:
127.0.0.1 edge.quantserve.com
127.0.0.1 pixel.quantserve.com
127.0.0.1 e0.extreme-dm.com
127.0.0.1 t1.extreme-dm.com
BTW, if you use AdBlock, don't upgrade to Firefox 3 yet. The current version of AdBlock isn't compatible with it!

I can see the pictures in the posts you listed....
Richard... I fired up Safari (3.1.1) and can see the pics through that browser, but I still can't see them in Firefox (2.0.0.4) on a Mac... They used to be visible...
Thanks for checking it out...

Richard...I cleared the cache and the pictures re-appeared...I guess that's what the problem was...
Thanks for your help and attention anyway...maybe this newfound trick will help in future "panics" from the masses.

I am not sure if this is a bug, but yesterday I discovered that my PortalPAge says that I have a new private message "Your Notifications: 1"... But when I open my private messages all messages are read and there is nothing new...
Anyone that can help??
Greets,
Bjoern
