Hey, idea: somebody needs to make a smilie that looks like a bug.
Thanks,

There is one thing I noticed about the classifieds. When you are looking at the ads it'll say there are 10 pages, for example, But the ads run out at page three. The rest are just pages with no ads. Didn't know if ya knew that or if it is intentional or not.
but could you depending on the use, remove "the member list" that is available on the side and put the chat instead... on that blue bar there is lot of info about the chatroom... that don't exist anymore except if you login in the chatroom...

I have found uploading photos to the gallery is not very easy, even for someone who does a lot of work online with multimedia. I tried a few times, but found it to be faster to either include attachments with posts, or provide a link to my iWeb pages. With iWeb and iPhoto, I can pretty much drag and drop and publish, really easy and fast. I'd say the same effort to post the last iWeb photos I set up on my web site would take maybe three times as long using the forum upload process.
But -- now that I have this called to my attention, and since this is a social knowledge network, and a really wonderful community, and an amazing resource for the kind of work I am doing on my Trade Wind this summer -- I will make a better effort to contribute photos. Probably I will wait until I have something pretty to post. It's all a big mess now!

This started to happen when we could post images in the forums (if you can't remember waaaay back when the forum software did not allow for attachments) then slowly the amount of photos has been steadily declining. With the newest images on the portal page I hope people will like to see their new photos on there and get some more people uploading. This also helps our mod team see all the new photos to make sure no nasty ones slip by. Let's give it a try for a while and see how things go. If this helps increase the number of photos being uploaded great! If not, we can switch back to random.
With the browser window set to the minimum width for the content, the blue bars are already too long. At least the one on the bottom seems to wrap.
The top bar could be shortened adequately by removing the word "List" from "Members List". The bottom could be shortened by removing the word "Community" from "Community Rules", removing the word "Page" from "Portal Page" and changing "Forum Listing" to "Forums".
Worse yet... the giant footer is back this morning. It's WAY wider than the minimum width of the rest of the forum, which works with 720 pixel wide screens (compare with the standard footer in the attachments in the above post).
Oops... looks like the top blue bar is now even more overlength than the pictures I show in #147. Seems that the Blog item from the menu an inch above the blue bar was needlessly duplicated in the blue bar.
Boy this is a big job for the implementers. Thank you for your efforts!! I like the new software and have had no problems. I have one question: Why do I now get an email alerting me to a new post every time there is a new post whether I have visited the topic or not?
I just noticed that the "manage attachments" window for posts only has 4 windows for uploading new images. After I browsed and added an image, there were still 4 browse windows. What's the limit of images in a single post? I believe it used to be 8 or 10. Has that changed?
I also noticed that most files are limited to 1 MB, but PDFs are 10.72 MB. Does that mean we are encouraged to do a PDF layout and upload it, rather than discrete images?
