We have moved the site over to a temporary server so we can maintenance our other server (upgrade a few things) and then send it to a new datacenter. Since our site is so large (7GB+ and hundreds of thousands of files) it is not as easy to move around as it once was. We still have to synch up some photo attachments from yesterday and some of the classified photos but we should have that done shortly.
I expect us to stay on this server for a few weeks while the other one is put in place. Seeing as it is the Holiday Season, it might end up taking longer to have the Datacenter install a new Operating System on our server once they get it. We should have plenty of resources to run here fine during that time.
Please post any bugs or issues you find on the site now that we have moved.

I am not seeing any of the photos people are attaching to their post this morning. I just see an empty box.
Also, things seem to have sped up this week, but last week the site was very slow to open when using the link in an e-mail notice. Was that due to migration?

Thank you all VERY much for your feedback. I think we have addressed all the issues so far but still have to synch up some folders (to make sure we have every last attachment and photo).
Please keep posting any errors you can find here. Your feedback is very much appreciated so we can zap all the bugs ASAP.
I have tried to edit posts today on three different posts, and I get a message stating that I need to log in to do that. But I am already logged in. I'm using the same method that I have always used successfully in the past. Anybody else have the same problem? Any ideas?
Dave

Reason: No problem here...:0
Hmm... I think Terry "overlander63" hit the edit button instead of reply. He still seems to be reporting "no problem" from his end.
The server has been just a little slower than normal -- but always seems to freeze up if I click 'submit' twice when it is already behaving slow. And that did happen to me a couple times today. This has been the case during the server sluggishness of the last couple months in my experience. So be patient, click only once, come back in 15-20 minutes ... back up your typing by copying to a mini-wordprocessor like Notepad before you submit.
AS Forums did transfer to a backup server last week while Andy R does the major changeover and enhancement to new equipment for us. We may have to speak in single syllables to our keyboards for a couple more weeks.
Unusual! I'll pass that particular problem up the line. Please post back here if it happens tomorrow. Thanks.
[on edit: Okay Dave -- I've merged your thread into Andy R's that requested feedback for particular issues. It will more likely get attention in that location. Thank you for your patience.]
