I just wanted to share some news with you all. I recently acquired another Travel Trailer site. The founder is trying to streamline things in an effort to retire and go full timing within a couple years. The site is called
Molded Lightweight Fiberglass Travel Trailers and is a forum based community for owners of Fiberglass based travel trailers. The game plan is to not change a thing at either site. As time passes maybe we can leverage some new features for both sites, my first idea for this would be a feature in your UserCP where you can select the States you have traveled to and then a map on your profile would show the States you have been to in color and the ones you have not would stay white.
I am not selling my 1961 Bambi. She is at the shop and by this winter will be absolutely perfect on the outside. They are going to do a lot of body work and then it will be time for a custom interior. I do plan to research the Fiberglass models and probably look for an older unit to restore and have fun with the folks on that site too.
So please don't think I am going to sellout and push SOBs here on AIR. I know how special Airstreams are to all of us. For them the fiberglass is their fetish and I don't plan to push aluminum on them either.
