Too bad, but as someone once said, "Life: you don't get out alive."
As for lost photos, that's just another reason to use one of those external free photo warehouses to store the actual image, with just a link to the post...

Andy, there is only one entity (or so some of us believe) that never makes mistakes. You do your best and from time to time something happens and Oh Well.....
Thanks for the courtesy of letting us know though. I thought perhaps it was good drugs and that I wasn't really on the system this afternoon.....

I just checked my thread "2009 Road Trips" and every post after 5/14 is gone so more is missing than was thought. I thought back ups prevented this, but I'm not a computer expert (maybe no one is and the machines are finally revolting).
Numerous photos, posts, and heartfelt pm's related to the Crawfish Fest this past weekend were sacrificed to The Angry Puter Gods....
Lots of good music, good eating, good times, and not a few adult beverages were consumed in the mere wink of an eye.
We pray that they have been satiated for a very long time.
The 2009 Road trips thread may not have been lost, or as lost, because I brought it up incorrectly and forgot to go to page 2, but some was gone and is back…so what this means I don't know what I'm talking about.
What I may know is that sometimes under "new subscribed threads" I get one that has no new posts, or, they just jump around for a while and select an earlier post. The latter has been going on for some time.
I'm still amazed how they get all those little people into the "television", especially now they have so many "channels", so that these computers and servers work at all is beyond me.
Pretty amazing how complacent and dependent we become on computers and digital storage... then with a click of a mouse (use to be blink of an eye), it'll disappear and heartburn sets in. Digital reality is really quite fragile. More so than your dog eating your homework...
It's kind of like a dandelion...blow on it and it's all gone **poof**

So, does this mean that the only way to restore the four pics I posted yesterday morning is for me to repost??? Like, if I do this, I won't have duplicates down the road mysteriously crop up??
Having been in computing for 35+ years, appreciate how quickly that digital information can turn into little bits that just seem to fall off into a black hole somewhere . . . .

Sorry about the inconvenience. Yes, please post again.
