Agreed, just like the "B" van and the fibreglass mo/hos.

And the original AS MH weren't distained by the real AS owners who thought "trailers only". Many still feel that MH aren't real AS. jim

Gene, hover your mouse over the lower portion of the photo screen and a film strip will pop up. At the left end of the film strip is a pause icon. Click on that and you will be able to select the individual photos to view for as long as you want and you can scroll through the photos with the previous and next buttons above the photo. Hope this helps.

BTW, I agree re: the vinyl cushion covers. When using the dinette as a bed it would be very hot in the summer and, while retro, looks kind of cheep these days. I think a retro look fabric would be better, similar to the green fabric that was original to the 30' Safari in 2005.

After reviewing the floor plan, it is virtually identical to a Shasta floor plan I toured at the South Atlanta RV show in April in Hampton, GA.

I think we got over that: I wave to ALL Airstreams, except B vans and plastic boxes.

And you have a problem with B-Van owners?

A thought to consider.

I believe BigFoot is still out of business???

If so Airstream/Thor could buy the factory and contents.

They could weed out the unwanted product and re introduce the popular models. They could change the color to silver and sell them as another line of Airstream (similar to the way they handled Argosy years ago).

Bigfood was already established as a quality and respected product.

Lightweight fiberglass trailers are right for the times and the Bigfoot quality would only be goodness for the Airstream company.

When we were at JC in late April they had discounted that book radically and apparently have many boxes of them to get rid of. Barb bought it in 2008 at retail and actually it's pretty interesting and has a lot of information about the history of Airstream, sanitized to be sure.

I already own the book... received a copy as a gift. I didn't really want or need the book... I just wanted to post the email. I'm going to wait for Gene's... Airstream: The Unauthorized Biography.

I already have two books,

"B vans" are cool, could be a great tow vehicle
I like them better than the Sprinter.

As for trailers,
Airstream are supposed to move down the road like a stream of air, not a box....

Guess I'm old school.
