The contribution system had to be turned down while I did my maintenance to update member records who contributed earlier. I just finished and sent a note to Andy to turn the system back up. I'm sure he will post a message once he gets it operational.

For those of you waiting, the decals will go in the mail tomorrow. Those of you close to St. Louis will probably get yours by Thursday. The envelopes are all going out First Class mail.

Note that I am holding on three orders based on an email that I sent to selected members due to issues regarding their mailing address. I have received replies from most of the folks who I emailed. I would assume at worse case everyone should get their decals by Monday. International members will of course take longer to get through the postal chain.

Please PM me if you don't get your decals by Tuesday next week.

Regards,

Jack

The sticker/donation system is back online now. I am working on a way to avoid this downtime during mailings. This first one just took longer because of the intial rush...

It will be great to post photos of the stickers on your trailers and cars!

I updated our address too so the AIR stickers should be seen on the roads of AZ pretty soon.

I assume they got there ok? No postage due, the envelope I used survived the riggors of the postal system?

Jack,

They SURVIVED the USPS! No postage due, no mutilation.

My wife was wanting me to start a web site with pictures of some of the mail we've received. My favorite is an envelope that was obviously set on fire and the top and 2 sides are gone!

Good. I felt pretty confident regarding the postage, but as you see it was a bigger heavier envelope. If you want to see mutilation, just take a look at how my Blue Beret comes in each month. I always consider it a plus if the covers make it through unscathed.

The decal installation is pretty straight forward. This is a different supplier than the ones I gave away at Moraine View last year. On these you just peel away a small part of the backer exposing a small surface of the decal, attach that to the surface that you are putting the decal on. Continue slowly pulling the backer away from the decal while pressing the new exposed portion of the decal to the surface. It goes on pretty clean that way.

I sent in the money on February 27 and wonder if I was one of the first to do so. If so maybe I was lost in the confusion since I still have not received my stickers, my rivets look the same, I can not access any of the enhancement features and I was taken off the newsletter thread.
Even so I love this forum and get a lot out of it each day and was happy to have sent in the money. I also enjoy volunteering the time to write on the newsletter and would welcome the opportunity to help in any other way with the forum.

We had 80 orders to process and I sent out 78 on Tuesday night. Chaplain Kent, your's was in that order. Dependent upon the post office I will assume the bulk of the decals will be in your mailboxes today or tomorrow, with a few more to get there by Monday.

Since the post office didn't process the mailing till 11:00 am on Wednesday, those who received their's yesterday were getting pretty good service and were those who lived closest to the St. Louis area. Everybody be patient, your's will be there soon.
