I dropped off the latest set of decals at the post office today. The mailing covers contributions made from August 22nd through October 17th. Hopefully most of you will get the mailing prior to Friday. Those of you in Canada may get yours a little later since I've never gotten a handle on how long mail takes to get to those of you in the great north country.

I went through this process a couple of months ago, and nothing happened. What did I do wrong?
Do you have any of your Paypal receipts showing the contribution? I went back through my reports to May and your name wasn't on my decal lists that I mail from. If you can give us the date you made your contribution, Andy can check his side of the order process.

OK, now I will have the sticker for the back window..
How do you get the big numbers for the front?
If you mean the red numbers, you need to be a member of the WBCCI. There is a local St. Louis Unit if you are interested. Greater St Louis, Missouri Unit WBCCI
We also have a forum member who has created blue numbers which some have used in place of the red numbers. Each Forum member gets a sequential number when they register on Airforums. Here's a thread on that topic.

Thanks Jack,
I do NOT want to open up a can of worms regarding the different numbers, but is one more oriented towards the vintage AS and towards the later models?
Thanks,
Jeff

Jeff,
Nope. The WBCCI group for all intents is a social group, whose roots were tied to traveling in organized groups. Each local unit has their own identity although there are some formal subgroups within WBCCI. For example the VAC (vintage airstreams) caters to owners who have Airstreams that are 25 or more years old. To join VAC you must also belong to WBCCI. I was part of the local St. Louis WBCCI group until I had a falling out regarding the need for change in the local organization.
Airforums has no organizational structure. We are a privately owned web forum with no officialdom other than those of us who are moderators or administrators that take care of the day to day management of this site. Many of us organize rallies and other social events, but technically these are gatherings of like minded individuals. Anyone can do a rally. In WBCCI it follows some strict rules that dictate who may attended and how things get run.
Folks like Devoman came up with the idea of doing a numbering system similar to WBCCI for Airforums members. Since the forum software automatically assigns you a number when you register, he thought it would be neat to put that number on trailers, so in essance we have the blue numbers. Personally I don't want to put numbers on the aluminum due to the fact that it creates a ghosting effect over time. You will see many older airstreams around without the red numbers, but carrying the ghost of where the numbers used to sit.

To elaborate more on Jack's comments.....(ok, this is a plug for Devoman!)
Devoman does make blue signs with whatever you want on them including your Airforums number. They are not expensive, sit well in the window, and recognize you as a forums member.

Pay Pal is the only method. Anyone that has access to the internet can set up a Pay Pal account. And you can use a Visa card with Pay Pal.

Jack,
Thank you very much! Not sure if I want the #s are not, but now I know the situation..
Hopefully my airstream sticker will be there when I get back home from this business trip.
THANKS, Patricia! I got my new stickers in record time this time. Patricia was the name on the return address label. Jack, you gotta keep her for sure.
Neil.
