The "contemporization" is really, really neat. Clean, un-cluttered, beautifully layed out.

Hurrah.

All images froze in Ubuntu, which was probably fixable but just switched back to Internet Explorer 8 and all seems to work fine, found increasing print size to 125 made it easier to read.

I'm sure you are aware of this but thought I'd better mention it. The new posts page is now inundated with every registry entry. Pages and pages of them, all listed at 10:32am.

Like it more every day. I like it bright and uncluttered. Yeah!!! Uncluttered!!!! Most websites give you too many choices and places on the page to do the same thing. I like ALL the choices under the TABS dropdowns!!!

This is due to a change in the way the registry system works. There will be a thread for each new registry entered so people can comment on other's registry entries. When a new registry entry is create it will show up in the New Posts and thus help this system get more traction. I suspect it could take us a decade to get the registry loaded with a lot of information!

I have a long term vision that we can connect discussions from any part of the forum to the year/model being discussed no matter what forum it's in. The idea is to create pages so someone can see the registry entries of owners with similar year/model trailers, discussions about those trailers, etc.

Once we get all this linking done I'd also like to connect the above with our sister site - Airstream Trailer Classifieds - Airstreams Trailers For Sale so you can see similar models for sale and also past sales and the prices they sold for. This will help us build more data which will be used to update the price guides on Vintage Airstream Home.

The link to ignore a forum seems to have gone missing - we'll get it fixed

On the contrary, now you're looking at that view as a reflection on the side of a Cyclo-polished vintage trailer.

I'd just like to take this time to thank the site administrators for this site. It was been a great help.

New layout looks great. Love the riveted graphics!

It was there last night, but that was using Firefox on a Mac at home. This morning using Firefox for Windows, not there.

Also, whenever I click on a link from the Portal, it takes me to the first post in a thread, not the last one I read. I really don't want to read through all 9,000+ posts in the "TinCrumpet Vacations" thread every time, no matter how much I enjoy the thread.

I like the new look. The 60s style nameplate for "AIR FORUMS" is a nice design touch. The flipped image is really buggin' me though.

On edit, there's the buddy list up on top on the right instead of on the left at the bottom. I just saw it as soon as I submitted.

On another edit, it's not there on the Portal any more, just on the other links from the portal. Different.

maybe this was already covered in earlier posts, but anyway:

to me the main board looks somewhat cramped.

in the center panel less than 1/2 of the width contains forum content,

on the right side about 1/3 of the overall space contains ads and info

and on the left side about 1/5 contains member data.

the ads/info uses up much of the right side and then half-way down the
page there is only wasted blank space.

maybe the ad section width can be reduced by half and run all the way down the right side of the page.

this would free up extra space so that the actual topic discussion area could be expanded for easier viewing.

otherwise a great success by all involved!

This is the problem with fixed width tables.
On my screen I have more side decoration ( rivet panels ) than actual forum real-estate.

Thanks for all the hard work. I like the clean look and drop down menus. But, gotta tell you that I won't be able to spend as much time on the forum in the future....it's just too bright!

I like the new look, too, but I have to agree. The white background is awfully bright. Perhaps a muted gray? Light Blue? muted Silver?
