Does the baby monitoring system allow you to "reverse" the image as if you're looking in the rear view mirror? If not, does the non-reversed image throw you off?

Wireless camera system
It is non-reversed and takes a little getting used to. I labeled my monitor Driver and Pass that helps to remind me. It's just another tool to let me know what's back there.

A wired backup camera is one thing, but a wireless rear view mirror camera system is a whole different animal. Just saying.

Zino - typically the Voyager camera would be installed near the center clearance light on the rear and tapped in to that light for power (requires you do drive with lights on at all times).
We had ours done at the mothership - couldn't bear do drill in to it myself 😃

Did you buy your system from AS in JC or did you already have one when you arrived at JC?

When we went last year for some warranty work and the recliner conversion they had a free installation offer we took advantage of. They had them there.

Camera Install
@zinodog
I sent to you an email with photos of the camera and the monitor in the cab. If you did not receive these, let me know.

We took power for the Voyager camera from the light under the street side roof locker above the twin bed. We put a rocker switch with LED inside the locker to show when it is powered on.

I think the biggest security issue at night is not seeing who is outside or knocking on the door. Any ideas in using a wireless camera with a temporary mount facing the door that would broadcast to monitor inside? This would be removed before travel. What problems would be involved?

Temp Camera
The prior mention of the baby monitor which can support 4 cameras, then maybe using a clip to awning or if no awning them 3M foam tape ( yes you will have to renew/replace it ) with either velcro or a magnet/metal fender washer on either the AS skin and base of the camera which ever works for you. If hard power is an issue ( some cameras are AC ) look for the battery powered camera and portable monitor. Another set of batteries to recharge.

Is the Voyager camera useful for backing into a campsite, or just seeing who's on the road behind you?

Mirrors and a spotter are more helpful to me for backing up though there is some value in seeing behind the trailer any time and in backing up, turn up the volume so the spotter's voice can be heard that way.
As a wider rear view on the road it can't be beat. Very happy we got it.

I use mine all the time for the backing process. I do a fair amount of solo camping. During the initial maneuvering I use the mirrors and Mark II eyeballs from the drivers spot. Voyager gets a few glances. Once I am centered and aligned I use it to determine my stopping point. That works well.
Mine is tilted so that in the bottom left and right corners of the screen I just see the edges of the end of the bumpers. And with a bit of learning it's easy to get within 3 feet of the rear bumper and stop.
On the road besides what's behind you I like it during a passing phase. Once I can see the other vehicle in the Voyager I know I have cleared them and can start moving back into the non passing lane. Invaluable.

Hello, I purchased the Voyager system yesterday and would like to see exactly where the camera is placed at the rear of the AS. I have a 25FB EB. Also does that position allow view of the entire rear bumper area for backing up at the same time still work well for a "rear view mirror" for highway travel?

Mine is about 6-8 inches below the center running light. Tech pulled power by pulling the running light and running the Voyager power up the inside wall and connecting into the power for the light. While driving turn on the lights on the TV and the camera is powered.
I have mine tilted and can just see the ends of the rear bumper in the lower left and right corners of the screen. Can't see directly down on the bumper but can get close enough backing up. At the top I see just above the horizon line so seeing upcoming traffic or traffic I have just passed works great.

Thank you. Will be installing Voyager Camera this week. Next I am going to figure out how to get a second camera for viewing down the curbside.

Second Camera
As I understand it, the second camera must be hard wired. So, having it on the trailer itself may defeat the purpose of a wireless camera.
