What is this plug for?

This converter is plugged into a 110V outlet where the blueray player is. What's it for?

Use that plug when using inverter and not connected to shore power

My apologies, I wasn't clear. I meant the black plug I unplugged and placed on the shelf. That is providing power to something but I don't know what.

I thought that also, but the radio still worked even after I unplugged it.

Does the TV antenna require any power?

The back is just a regular two prong electrical connector that connects to the wall outlet. I'll take some more pictures next time I'm out there.

It looks like a "Sunny" brand switcher power supply. Most likely it supplies 12 volts to something in the cabinet. What is plugged into this device? (Not the 120 VAC plug, but the other end of the power cable that comes out of this box.)

I don't know. It disappears into the cabinet.

Unplug it and see what stops working.

Sunny makes an AC/DC adapter. If you have a device that uses a 110 vac adapter to a DC voltage, the adapter will let you run your device from 12 vac

Example, my laptop requires 19vdc power. At home I use the adapter that came with it, plugs into a 110 wall socket. When I travel, if we're boondocking, instead of firing up the inverter to convert 12vdc to 110vac then using the supplied adapter to drop it back down to 19vdc, I simply plug in the 12vdc adapter which boosts 12vdc to 19vdc. House batteries last longer.

So you have something like that also, a device that requires some DC power but comes with a 110vac plug. You can run it off the inverter but the Sunny adapter will just use the 12vdc battery to provide the necessary DC power for your device.

He he. I like how you think.

I tried it. The blue ray player and the radio still worked. I couldn't figure out what stopped working. Must not be very important...

Not near my coach, but I seem to recall there is a 1:2 video splitter somewhere in that region...could that be it?
