Most laptops require more than 12 vdc, not sure about Macs. My 3 Dells take 19.5 vdc, 4.6 amp. The HP is close to that too. The Sunny says it's a switching adapter, 12 vdc with 1 amp, not enough for a laptop.
The input voltage is 200 down to 100. It looks like it was purchased to be used with something from Europe or the US. There was probably an adapter that went onto the plug to allow it to be plugged into a European socket too. Whatever it is, it's low amperage, possibly a rechargeable light, maybe a C-PAP machine?.
The OP said the wire went behind the wall and he unplugged the adapter with no ill effect to any of his electronics. My guess is whatever was plugged into it went with the PO and he forgot his switching adapter. Another AS mystery.
