TV to speakers

A PO of our 1979 28' Ambassador removed a corner cabinet, I assume to have more room in the small den area up front. Wires from a hole in the wall where the cabinet was were cut very short and stuffed back into the cavity. I fished them out and I may be able to tie in jumpers. I haven't checked (other than looking at the brief overview in the manual), but I believe they are speaker wires. However, maybe they are also power for the entertainment system that was removed?? I'll check it out later w/ a test lamp.

If these are in fact speaker wires, I would like to connect these speakers up to our Vizo flat screen and a DVD component. There's not much volume from the Vizo. Is it possible to simply find the speaker wires and tie them into RCA cables and input into the components that I now have in the trailer?

Most likely it will not work.
The RCA outputs have to be connected to an amplifier.
You could buy a cheap or used stereo amplifier.
If the TV has external speaker wire connections you could as these outputs as they would be amplified.
