Satelite radio

Thinking about installing XM before Alaska trip. Can anyone who might have it inform about reception in BC, Yukon and Alaska?
Thanks

IIRC, XM satellites have a very narrow band and use only 1 sat for the entire US. Sirius, OTOH, has 3 sats and I have friends that actually can gets Sirius reception in Costa Rica!! YMMV, but you will probably get it in Alaska too!

I thought it was pretty silly to pay to listen to the radio. Then my long suffering wife gave me a Sirius radio. We can't travel without it now. It has worked all over the western US without a miss. Why tonight there was even a live Jimmy Buffett concert!

I thought the same way. I cant go without it now. In fact, i am going to install it in the new truck i have to drive for work, on my own dime. It is one of those things that once you have it, you cant imagine how you went without so long.
