replacement thermostat

our sport 22Fb came with a cheapo old style thermostat

can we use a std home model? or even a nest

will it work as is or do you have to make special mods?

It depends on what the thermostat controls.
If you are talking about one that controls the furnace only, it's easy. And cheap.
If you have one that controls the heat pump and furnace, then it is more complex.

I bought a cheap (~$15) electronic thermostat rated for 24v DC that runs the furnace only.

tnx

the home ones use 24V ( from the furnance ). someone told me that i have to use one the uses a battery as there one 24V line

Mine uses 2 - AAA batteries to power the digital display and activate the thermostat switch. I like this because there is no parasitic load on the house batteries. When the trailer is in storage I remove the batteries from the t-stat
