Our 2007 23' Safari's Sony Wega TV also does not have a digital tuner built-in and is connected to a power "brick" transformer that is not easily accessed (See SilverCabin's post, "
TV Replacement on a 2007 23 Footer").
We have left our TV "as is" since watching TV is not a priority for us when camping. (We'd rather have a flickering votive candle or perhaps a flickering, smokeless fire via a DVD.)
However, we did recently purchase a digital converter (and a Mohu Leaf antenna) for an older TV in the house, as part of our move to
become independent from pay TV, while enjoying free over-the-air (OTA) local TV broadcasts.
So now we have the option of bringing the digital converter into the trailer... IF we ever feel the need!
