Thank you all for your input. Yes, I do have the amplifier button pushed in on the wall and I do get the indicator light. It is the Sony Wega model #KLV-S15G10 which I Googled and found on the Sony website. It does have an analog tuner. So I need to decide if I want to add a digital converter box or just watch DVDs.

Best bet in the long run, IMHO, is to purchase new new LED TV. Less mess, less cables, less power consumption and better picture. Also could allow for additional inputs (depending on make/model) on the back for HDMI, digital audio and bluetooth.

I agree 100% with tsunami, with the cost of smaller Airstream-sized TV's these days (e.g., $200 to $300,) it's hardly worth fussing with external receivers etc...

I looked into replacing mine just to eliminate the box etc. My TV is on a swing mount over the microwave oven cabinet. The TV mount is in the center but today's TV's mount at the top. Lowering TV will hit cabinet. Will not work w/o big mods to TV or mount. Previously posted in electronics, pic included no one had suggestions.

Without seeing any photos, any possibility that the wall mount could be inverted 180 degrees? Most of the newer LCD/LED are industry compatible with brackets that follow VESA (Video Electronics Standards Association) standards. So it should be relativley easy to get a compatible wall mount. Good luck.

Our 2007 23' Safari's Sony Wega TV also does not have a digital tuner built-in and is connected to a power "brick" transformer that is not easily accessed (See SilverCabin's post, "TV Replacement on a 2007 23 Footer").

We have left our TV "as is" since watching TV is not a priority for us when camping. (We'd rather have a flickering votive candle or perhaps a flickering, smokeless fire via a DVD.)

However, we did recently purchase a digital converter (and a Mohu Leaf antenna) for an older TV in the house, as part of our move to become independent from pay TV, while enjoying free over-the-air (OTA) local TV broadcasts.

So now we have the option of bringing the digital converter into the trailer... IF we ever feel the need!

We replaced the non-digital ready Sony Wega TV in our 06 19' Bambi with a 19" Samsung and I can't tell you what an improvement it is...much lighter, digital ready and the whole thing ... and we didn't even have to change the wall mounting bracket.

We moved the Wega into our kitchen (in our house) and hooked it up to cable as a 2nd TV...works great there, and since it's on cable, we don't need a converter for it.

Found a adapter plate at Best Buy for $10.
I have the same mount as you and when I upgraded my tv to led I had to screw the adapter to the tv in order to mount it on the factory arm.Piece of cake.
