Did you use the original wiring when you installed the system and if so was it available where you installed the sensors?

Yes, I used 2 conductors from the telephone wires that were used for each micropulse sensor . Those sensors are in the same area and there was A LOT of extra length to work with.

How did you know where to cut the hole below the fresh water tank that would be close to the wiring?

My hole is big enough to perform valve service, if ever needed. But, to answer your question, I drilled some exploratory holes where I knew there was nothing above and probed with coat hanger....then measured the depth of the wire probe....north, south, east, west, up, over, etc. Checked and rechecked, then sketched on the tank bottom with a sharpie. Used a rotozip with a controller depth arbor and a metal cutting wheel.

Keep in mind that Micropulse used warrant their main panel for 5 years. I know they replaced mine (due to a burned out light) for free even though the warranty on the trailer had expired. I don't know if that warranty carried throughout the subsequent years but back in 2004 it was 5 years on the panel. But those of you with trailers built in 2011 forward still might be warranted.

Airstream abandoned Micro-Pulse in the 2015 model year. Our 2015 23D was made in September of 2014.

I have a 2013 FC25 with a FB my micro pulse system has been less than accurate and I have been thinking of up grading to a SeeLevel system. I have two questions 1 just how hard is it to get to the tanks to install the sensors and 2 are those that have the seelevel happy with the battery monitor or did you install a better unit. I want to be able to boondock with some confidence about tank and battery levels. We have a generator and a couple of solar panels and have done ok with power but have been surprised with the water running low with the grandkids with us. The boys didnít mind skipping a shower but the wife wasnít sure if she would have enough looking at the gauge(she did). We are still pretty new at this .

Canít speak to the install, as it was done by the shop when the trailer was almost gutted. I can say that Iím happy with the SeeLevel system overall and havenít had reason to doubt itís accuracy (yet...). Been using it for 6 months or so.

I am hoping someone with a similar airstream will be able to answer the install question . I have read a couple of treads from owners with different trailers and with the changes over the years it can make a difference.

The SeeLevel system senders were stuck to the side of the tanks in our 2014 31' Classic with the built-in adhesive on each sender. The existing signal wires were reused. Access was required from below and from above in a closet. The tanks were not dropped. The old senders are still sticking into the tanks as catchers for solids and paper.

Thanks I am hoping I can do the install without dropping the tanks. I still need to explore that area to see if I have room. What size senders did you use my display has a power switch ,test / display and water pump switch so a 709 p3 looks like the unit I need I have no pump switch in the bathroom just water heater controls.
