Smile installation of rearview camera

My first time here so bear with me. Anyone have experience with passing the camera cable from the top rear mount thru the skin down to the belly of the trailer then to the front hitch area. It appears difficult as everything is closed in with riviting . The trailer is a 27ft flying cloud. Thanks qt4ca

Two Camera Rearview Install

Greetings, I have this project underway for my TV and 30 S/O. The fiberglass topper was easy, I drilled and mounted the backup camera and ran the cable inside to the under body cable run. The AS is going as follow: I am removing the top center running light on the rear of the coach to use as a mounting point by using the two mounting screws to hold the new plate. I have cut and bent a small SS plate that I will mount the camera to the new plate so I don't have to drill holes in the skin. Then to run the cable, I will use the black adhesive mounting bases to run on the surface down to the bumper cover using cable ties. Then I'm going to use the surface mount screw on to run a 1/2 inch split loom tubing all the way on the belly pan, to the hitch area. This will carry the cable to the pigtail interconnection, that will carry the signal to the monitor on the TV.

I am using a two camera system from Costco, that sells the Rearview Safety camera system. I had to purchase the pigtail connection($96)from them directly, that gives you two female connectors and a double male pigtail connectors with enough cable to connect both ends. The monitor will mount on the dashboard and the control unit mounts under the dash and has the camera inputs.

I will post this install when I'm all done. Good luck

Check to see if your frame is hollow. If it is, run the wire inside some pvc pipe inside the frame.

Eastern South Dakota is very pretty with hills, rivers, and trees.

Rear vision for TT and back up camera for TV

I have completed the camera install for both units and everything seems to be in place. I chose to use the cable camera system because it's simple to connect and is interference free. This system has night vision for backing up or into a site at night!!! Nothing more exciting than a blind back up a night. On the road it will be an aid for passing and knowing when to pull in on another car or truck.

I purchased the Saftyvision system at Costco for $240 and the pig tails were $98 from Safty and materials were another $60 for electrics supply or Lowes.
