How do I get the CD player to work?

I have a 2014 Interstate. Changing source on the Tv never finds the CD player, how do I get it to work?

Possibly just put in a CD.? Not trying to be smart but I had a player that I had to choose an unusual source to get the CD to play but only with one installed. Jim

As soon as you put a CD into a player the unit will automatically switch over to the CD source. If there isn't one in there then the unit skips that source because there is nothing to play.

Error in original post, I meant DVD player. I have a DVD in the player and the TV doesn't find it.

Should work the same way, put in a DVD and it should switch over. Have you tried another DVD? Maybe the one you have has a smudge on it or is defective. If it's a DVD you created it may not recognize it. If you've tried other DVDs and it's not playing perhaps it has a defective player.

Have you selected the DVD/HDMI input on your TV screen?
