Here's one I had on my first Airstream, a '70 Safari back in the late '80s... it was a plastic gizmo with aluminum wings that was just mounted on a pole in a bracket on the side of the trailer... it wasn't as funky as the original tube antenna you had... but it was pretty wierd looking...

OK, here's a funky one for you guys. This was on my friend's '59 Trade Wind when he bought it a couple of years back. The top part was a cover for a plastic garbage can. Very odd and the first thing to come off the trailer when he got it.

Not really sure what it looks like fully deployed. The wing nuts are pretty well rusted, so I've got to get some replacements before tinkering with it. It does shine up nice though. I just have to make the flags are all the way up, or they get tangled in it! Bart Simpson would be envious!
