So .... I think this is odd and am wondering if anyone else has this issue. Our control panel shows levels for several items:
-the black & grey water holding tanks (#2, and #1)
-fresh water tank
-LP Gas tank 1
-LP Gas tank 2
-battery condition
But the units of measurement don't make sense for the latter items - see the picture.
The main scale of E --> 1/3 --> 2/3 --> F makes sense for every item except for the batteries which should be on the 0-9 --> 10 --> 11 --> 12 scale. However, the LP Gas Tank 2 meter seems to be reading on the battery scale of 0-12 instead of E-F.
In the picture, the lights as they are illuminated generally reflect reality in that the holding tanks are empty, fresh water is empty, LP Gas 1 is full and LP Gas 2 is about half full but I'm just curious about why the LP Gas 2 is associated with numbers that reflect battery health, not quantity of gas in the tank. Also, there are two batteries but it appears only one is being measured... or one is half dead and we're not actually measuring the LP Gas2 tank.
This is from a 2000 Excella, 30' and as far as I know is the original control panel. It's not that I think it's an incorrect part -- measuring LP gas on a 0-12 scale doesn't make sense in any context.
Did Airstream really print a control panel with incorrect labels? Ideas?
