Brake controller for VW - tourage

We have a 28 International and I am pulling it with a 2004 V6 Tourage, we have put over 10,000 miles with this system and love it. But recently I have updated two or 2014 Diesel VW. We are having trouble getting the wiring harness for the brake controller installed. Someone suggested the 90250 prodige, Has anybody had experience with this?

Considering the 90250 prodige RF -- is there a trick two pair the remote with the controller?

Would I be better off with a wired prodigy 2?

I recently had a controller installed on my 2016 Touareg tdi. Factory wires were hidden very well as it took the technician 2 hours to find. There are pics and details availabile on vw forums.

I used a redarc towpro imported from au and it works beautifully. The controller knob fits in next to head light switch maintaining a clean look yet functional.

Let me know if more questions.

I am told because it's a European car that the 90250 has a hard time parenting. Has anybody used the prodigy 90250? And his there hey problem in pairing? If so how did they resolve.

Not sure if the unit you are referring to is wired or wireless, so forgive me if this is not appliacable.
We used a Prodigy wireless brake controller on our 2006 Cayenne/28ft International with great success for about a year and a half, and really loved it. We recently moved from pulling with the Porsche to a Dodge Ram 2500, obviously with a "hard-wired" system.
The only issue with the wireless thing was not with the unit itself, but user error. As it needs to plugged into your 12v in the Toureg/Porsche, one must remember to do just that...doesn't work very well otherwise. A checklist as we have all been encouraged to use really works, when you use it!
Happily we discovered our (my) error before mishap.
Again, we loved the thing.
If you would be interested I would sell ours cheap.

IM me if interested.
