I have to add motionX for the iPhone/iPad.

We just replaced our garmin after using the app on a trip. It navigated much better than our standalone, and adding that you are integrated with the Internet automatically made it great. I'm sure there are better units out there for a few hundred but anyone who wants to give it a shot will like the fact it's only 99 cents to try it for a month and then 20 a year if you like it.

It even integrates with music and the phone still works the whole time seamlessly.

Need a power adapter for the phone to keep the battery up.

I love my garmin its been the best and i have 3 of them ! for the wife's car , my truck and the Bike.
had a problem with the one for my Bike and Garmin customer help was excellent it ended up being a hardware problem and i had to send it in to them and they sent me a brand new unit to replace it, i Didn't even pay for shipping.
the only real problem I have is the cost to upgrade to newer maps after the first couple years

We use a TOM TOM 3rd addition I think. I haven't had it out in a while so I forget. We bought it second hand. People had two new cars both had GPS systems and this was an extra. Purchased for about 1/2 price and was 3 months old. I added the round sandbag base and it sits on the drink holder or on the dash just fine. We never have any tell-tale rings on the windshield or brackets anywhere to give away the fact there is a GPS unit in the vehicle.Has worked flawlessly for us. Although I had a hard time believing it at first. You know OLD TRUCKER Habits are hard to break. I still go the way I want too and it usually reroutes itsself and catchs up.
