Any updated portable solar panels recommendation?

A set that can be placed a few feet from the rig, oriented (and re-oriented) to face the sun, mostly to top off batteries, is in my list. Any recommendations please?

I have two of these and find them to be effective.

https://www.renogy.com/renogy-100-wa...olar-suitcase/

It comes with a controller and alligator clips.

Hi Vitaver,
Not clear what you mean on updated but nothing more modern than Zamp if you are interested in manufactured in the USA grade A solar panels. Clear leader in RV portable and mounted solar. Your Airstream dealer might also have them too as we send them all over but we do ship them free if you don't want to make the trip to a dealer. 40-200 watt.

Thank you. We went to your site and read about the

Zamp 200 Watt Portable Solar Charging System – ZS-200-P

Looks good but I could not find dimensions and weight. Can you please tell me?

Thanks!

I am not sure if you checked out Goal Zero. They make very portable solar panels as well as power supplies.

Please note that they ARE more expensive, however I appreciate them for their plug and play system as well as the pure portability of them.

I travel with their 400w battery inside my RV and have the 2 hard panels as well as 2 more roll up panels that I travel with.

Note: They ARE more expensive. But, I do appreciate their convenience.

We have a detailed review of our Zamp 200w solar panel on our website. We are full-timers and work from our trailer. As long as we have sun, this set-up meets our needs and we are very happy. It is heavy - that is probably the only downside.

Solar Panels

We picked up a 120 W portable set of panels from Echo Worthy on Amazon
They work great and comes with everything you need.
The legs are a little flimsy but if you are careful will do the job,
Only downside, there is no case so save the box it's shipped in

These are really inexpensive compared to others at the same wattage
$235 with free shipping if you are a Amazon prime member

I have Renogy Suitcase without controller because my Goal Zero has a controller built in along with outputs for AC, DC, and USB. Easy plug in with adapter cord to charge the lithium batteries on my 2 electric bikes or top off my AGM 6 volt house batteries. Renegy has free shipping and Goal Zero sells at a big discount at Costco Road Shows (ask the service rep at Goal Zero). Works great for us and very easy and compact in our Interstate. AEW

Nice thorough review there TwoSporks! Zamp has redesigned the legs on the portable solar kits and all new units being shipped have the new legs and all manufactured in the USA now.

I have GoPower 120 portable as recommended on AS website. Easy to carry suitcase;easy to set up; got 30' extension cord ..-and the best part is it plugs into the 7pin plug...so no messing with adaptors to battery.

I used the ZAMP 160 for the first time with my 2017 International 25FB this weekend. It works very well in full sun. The LED readouts in the integrated controller are very clear and helpful and were usually within .1 volts of the trailer's digital readout. Be sure to get the 15 foot extension in my link (not the black and red striped extension).

The 160 is $55 dollars less than three weeks ago.
