Question Air Digital to Cable

Hello - I'm using a cable connection for the first time on our 2013 Bambi and cannot get the Sansui TV to recognize anything other than Air Digital. Working the TV settings, there is no option for switching to Cable. Can anyone help? For reference, the cable is property connected to both the trailer and tv. Thank you. ED

I don't know the Sansui specifically, but any recent television I have worked with automatically detected all analog and digital signals fed into the Coax input on the set, no matter where they came from, off the air or through a cable connection. Thus what we used to call channel 8 is not 8-0 for analog, 8.1 for the first digital signal, 8.2 for the second etc. The television detects all of them when you do a channel scan, unless it is set to only detect analog or digital signals. You might look at the scan menu to be sure it is set for something like "detect all".

That said, I don't know if Airstream has some special input settings or switching built in to their TV input lines. I seem to recall someone mentioning something like that. I am not familiar with the in and out of modern Airstream television hookups.

somewhere in your trailer is a coax outlet with a little button next to it. that is the power switch for the tv antenna booster. it needs to be off to get cable reception.

I also don't know Sansui, but my Samsung and Toshiba both have a setup menu item for choosing input. Air, Satellite, or cable.
