'66 Avion T24 battery help

My batterybox is empty besides 2-4 wires an there not hooked up to the fuse panel. How does all this get hooked up an what size battery do i need? I looked at the manual because my lights an fans dont work an they say thats powered by the battery? Why? If the camper is plugged into 110.

12volts. If you do not have a converter, the 12 volt stuff will not work. Some old Avions only had a charger, so no battery, no 12 volt. Others will chime i in if I am wrong. Jim

I left the camper plugged in an went outside last night an somehow most of the lights worked. One fan worked too. I swapped out one light to a led an it doesnt work.

Battery must have gotten a charge, either from a converter or a built in charger. Jim

If it as still plugged in and 12 volt worked then you must have a converter somewhere, otherwise no lights. Some of my lights in my 64 were 12 volt and others were 120. I think this was dif in an AS. Jim

Some of the light fixtures were powered half and half . My PO changed these all to 12 volt., eliminating 120 volt. Jim

So that battery in the front only controls the lights when the camper isnt plugged in? If so ill never need the battery. Every site i go to has power.

You need the battery for the breakaway switch. If you do not have a converter, then any twelve volt lights, water pump if you have one, possibly the refrigerator, will not work, unless you have a battery. I wish someone else who could explain this more easily would chime in. Do you have a water pump or is it a pressurized system? My 64 originally had a charger rather thana converter, I think. Jim
