What is definition of 'fulltiming?'

I had this vision that the definition of "fulltiming" was living and traveling around full time in your Airstream. On the other hand, I have seen threads where people talk about finding a permanent location to park their Airstream to live in it full time. Hmmmm, now I am really confused. So, exactly what is "fulltiming?"

My understanding of fulltiming is living in your RV year round with no other permanent home. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Fulltiming

I think like many things the definition is up to the individual. I know of full timers who have sold the house, setup the RV in a permanent spot and live there. Other motorhomers spend a year or more on the road "full time".

I think most people agree that full timing means you live in your RV more than you live somewhere else. Either on the road every week, snowbirding from the north to the south and back or setting up your new "home" in a park complete with a deck, garden and hot tub!

That's right, there are 2 radically different cultures:

1) Move and travel all the time.

2) Stay in one place.

In Seattle at least - fulltiming has another meaninf. If you are in Tech - you actually have a 35+ hour a week job... that's full-timing ha ha....

No, the third is also a large percentage... probably even larger than stay in place. It's snowbirds... move twice a year, often incorporating travel to different stops and a longer, and less direct route.

Hopefully that will be us soon.

You are fulltiming whenever...

your PRIMARY residence at the moment is your RV. There are as many "other circumstances" for living as there are RV owners, but regardless of where or what your "other" home is, when you're in the RV for an extended period, it's fulltiming while you're in the RV!

In the Boston area, a tech job translates into 60+ hours a week!
